Hanscomb Glass studio is run by the husband and wife team of Neil Hanscomb and Gisela Ruehe, in the historic village of Elora. Established in 1983, Neil and Gisela have refined and developed their craft into a distinguished glass studio and store that specializes in stained, fused and leaded glass window designs.

Enˈso͞o - River Stones Design Notes

This client's house overlooks the Grand River in Elora and  gave Neil "carte blanche" regarding the window’s design. This bathroom window was created to allow privacy but also to integrate Elora's natural beauty.The blue green glass is representative of the water and some of the background glass was sandblasted with branches to bring more of the natural elements into the house.  Neil took the smooth glass chunks as inspiration because they reminded him of river rock.
